As a way of introduction. I surrendered my life the Christ Jesus when I was 18 years old. I was in college and attended an Assembly of God church off campus with some dorm mates. It was there, for the first time in my life, I understood who Jesus is and what he did for me personally. I had been to churches all my young life, but never did God reveal Himself to me like He did that night. Over my life I have served God in many capacities. I have taught Sunday School, Led Children's Church, worked on Bus Ministries, Preached occasionally, as God opened the opportunity, been a Missionary, Camp Counselor and other ministries as led.
Over the years, and through different ministries, my personal affiliations have changed and my spiritual life has grown. I started as a basic Christian, then Assemblies of God, then Independent Baptist, with Salvation Army affiliation, Baptist, General Baptist, and now God has me on a Messianic track, even though I am a gentile. I rarely use the name Jesus anymore, choosing to use my Lord's true name of Yeshua.
I joined today, because I have a few topics I would like to discuss with other Christians. Not looking for arguments or even verification as to correct doctrine. I know what I believe is correct doctrine, because it is Bible doctrine. I am just interested in discussing the topics to hear others experiences. A few of the topics are "Heaven, What if you don't fit in?" "Nudism and the Christian life." "Anti-socialism and the Christian walk." Topics that are not discussed in our churches, but are of interest to me. I will search the topics already posted to see if any of these are already there, and if not, then I will start a topic for discussion.
Since I don't know this forum and how it works, I will also say this up front. I tolerate NO bullying, ranting, or hate speech. I will leave if I discover that this is what this forum is about. I do not tolerate anyone telling another that they are not Christian, because of what they believe or how they act. Every one of us are on a journey. We are all walking a path. Each of us are at different place along that path. So it is not right to criticize someone for not being as far along the path as they are. Ruach HaGedesh guides each of us along our path.
Thank you. That is enough to provide an insight to me.
