hello this is me

I guess seekerman is a good user name for me. I am a 46 years old musician and record producer. Husband, father of 3 boys and in a few weeks grandfather of a baby girl.

I have been struggling with a very painful auto-immune / mixed connective tissue disease for around 10 years. The symptoms have been body wide neuropathic pain, disestive issues, tinnitus and horrific pelvic pain.

This has resulted in my being put on a coctail of drugs including opiate bassed pain killers.

I struggle with faith issues, want to have a good relationship with the one who created me but I have many questions.

I come from a background of sexual, physical and verbal abuse that I sidelined for years but now at middle age seems to be manifesting itself in painful and to some extent destructive ways.

I would like to in a respectful way ask some serious questions about God. Who, how and why. I am somewhat familar with the Bible. I studied with vigor back around 20 years ago for about 4 years.

I am not anti-Christian. Infact, some of the people I love the most are but there are some things I just don't grasp about whats being taught in modern evengelical Christianity.

I believe that my questions are valid but not intended to insult anyone's beliefs or passionate feelings towards God.

I hope to find meaningful exchanges here.
