Hello There

I come here with a couple questions, but Ill ask later.I'm a sophomore and don't do much with my life.I'm probably not as.....(uh whats the word?).... Christian as you guys.Ive never done drugs or anything, but I watch porn and stuff.Id like to get rid of my bad habits, but I'm not sure if I want to be a Christian.I used to go to church and a Christian school and I wasn't any happier or anything, but IDK its not likely Ill change all of a sudden and anyways Id rather wait until I know Im ready to accept Jesus.Ill probably end up either Christian, Atheist or some cultist(lol).

My name is FaithfulWife and I'm glad you're here. This place can be big and confusing, so here are a few things that might help you:

First you should know that CF just finished a BIG (gigantic, huge) upgrade. There were some changes and some new features, so people are just beginning to learn their way around. If you have questions please Private Message (PM) me and I'll answer if I can (I'm not a Microsoft tech but I might know the answer!)

To get blessings, you can go to the Blessings Exchange forum. We play games and take quizzes to earn blessings! You also get blessings for each post, so the more you post, the more blessings you'll have! You can also get 100 blessings from me just for meeting one friend: FaithfulWife's Newbie Blessing Game! BTW... *I* am a very friendly person.

To get a character, go to the top, right corner of the Home Page, and see [User CP] next to [Home]? Click on [User CP] (that stands for User Control Panel). Scroll down a little bit and on the lefthand side click Edit Avatar. On the next page, click Living Avatar--and then decide if you want to Edit Avatar (your character) or Purchase Items. You will need to select a body, hair, eyes, lips, and eyebrows/facial hair for your character to be seen. I personally chose to show my CF Angel wings, but you can choose whatever works for you!

You might find it helpful to look in our Welcome Center where we have topics like "New Member Intros", "For New Christians" and "Christian Forums How-To?" all to answer some of your questions and help you get around.

Finally, you might want to look in the Life Stages forums to find a group that fits you. I'm in the Women's Discussion, Parenting, and Marriage Ministry, and there's a life stage there to fit YOU!

You will end up full of what you put into your life. I suggest you read about Saul in the new testament, his transformation into Paul and what he wrote about Grace and Jesus, that should help you know what you are getting into if you decide to follow Christ. Meanwhile enjoy the variety of opinions and people and fun things to read/do here. The (New Posts) link at top is a good place to get a variety of things to read. Be blessed!

A thought...

Christianity is a relationship, not a religion. While you did christian things in the past (church, christian school) it sounds like the living relationship with Jesus Christ was missing from your life, and that it still is.

Reading about how Saul became Paul (in Acts) is an excellent idea. It would also be good to read the Gospels, (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and to focus on Jesus as you read. How is He born? How does He live? Where does He go? Who does He talk to? What does He say? What does He do? How do others respond? What's behind the differences in their responses? Who does Jesus say that He is? What does He say He came to do?

In short, get to know Jesus. Not what others say about Him. Get to know Jesus Himself.

Of course, there's more to it than reading. But, this is an excellent place to start, if you're ready to explore.
