• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm not new to CF, but I am looking for a new subforum to call home. You guys seem to believe along the same lines as I do, and the posts seem interesting. If you have questions for me, ask. I would like to get to know you guys as well. :)

Yeah. Singles isn't as cool as it used to be. I'd like a subforum with some more intelligent conversations. :)

Anything wrong with the Baptist forum or the General Theology forum? That's what most folks do--post on the forum of their own denomination plus a couple of additional interdenominational forums such as GT.

I post in subforums depending on what I want ot talk about. I consider myself a fundamentalist, so I often post in the fundamentalist subforum. Although, to be honesty, some of those guys are wackjobs.

Certainly Andrew is welcome to post here. But there's limited traffic on this forum, so it would seem that he'd be missing out by thinking of this as his "home" forum or anything like that.

To me that is the greatest weakness of forums. They divide an already splintered group of Christians.
Finding fellowship is hard enough without searching dozens of church groups. That is why the non dom churches today are so large . Most folks look more for the message than the name on the place they hear it.

Personally I don't even see the dif between fundimental and conservative. Christians are just that.
We come in all stripes and flavors. Probably most go to a church without knowing what the main teaching of that preacher holds. And why should we? If it is a house of worship, then we worship God and HisSon Jesus, not the preacher/teacher.
Thru the years it has become a scrambled mess. Most go one hour a week, sit quietly under some
man's personal teaching.
Because everyone has to workout their own salvation, where do we ask our questions except these fourms?

Oh, but just think of all the endless arguing.

At least with all the sub-forums you have the luxury of being wrong without being a heretic.
