  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hail from central/eastern...thunderstorms & fires tonight. Thick smoke and smells like the world's biggest campfire here for days now...the fire fighters are camping at the school and are all over town.

Moving to the coast in about 30 days though! Wahoooooooo!

Greetings from a native in the Willamette Valley. Its amazing too actually see sunshine so early this season. I wont complain its a beautiful and feels so good and makes me feel happy! Saying goodbye to the gray cloudy cool days! ^_^

I am tickled you live so close to me. I'm in Vancouver, Washington State.

I know exactly where you are at: PDX (Portland International Airport) is actually my airport! I took off from there on Alaska Airlines two weeks ago going to Sacramento, California. And then coming back home up here to WA we flew back to PDX where you are at. What a trip!

I know what you mean. Washington State and California are exact opposites when it comes to climate: Up here we have too much rain and down there they don't have enough! ^_^
