Hello all,
My name is David and the date that I found that I was truly His was about three years ago. I am currently taking theology classes and in between assignments I browse conversations between people. I've decided to devote time to engaging as I'm nearing the end of classes.
My motivation with joining your forums would be best described by this verse:
"For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire." (1 Corinthians 3:12-15 ESV)
My heart truly seeks this, to test what I have built upon the foundation, for His word cannot return void. I believe it is better to seek and test this with the assembly before standing before Him. Also seeking a building up of others, not a tearing down; sowing seed or watering.
My discussions will be more theological in nature, other times seeking to perfect witnessing.
Thank you for your time!
