  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello

My name is Judy and I am a 50 something retired widow who lives in North Central Michigan in the summer and in Central Florida in the winter.

My 85 year old Mother lives with me full time and we are both devoted to our Lord Jesus Christ. Mom and I both sing in the choir and are very active in our home church in Michigan as well as the one we attend in Florida. We have our pets to to give us purpose in our lives but other wise we live quietly and seek how we may serve our Lord through the gifts He has given us.
I am very glad to have found this site and hope to have many uplifting discussions with all of you.

Welcome to CF, Judy...I hope you truly have a blessed time cruising this site. There is so much to do and learn here. I'm formerly from Michigan myself, just been transplanted to Virginia 7 months ago. I'm glad to know another michigander :D
