I have been spending too much time at forums filled with anti-religious people, and it has really been getting me down. I needed a forum where I can talk to Christians like myself, and look where God led me! christianforums.com!
I couldn't have asked for a better place. I guess you can read my profile if you want to get to know me. I am going to be working on a website for my school's Campus Crusade for Christ, and I want to make a section where non-Christians at my school can send in their questions. So I will probably be hanging out at the Apologetics board to get advice. I've been debating with atheists now for years, so I know pretty much how they think. I really hope God prepared me well enough for the task ahead of me (to answer questions from non-Christians at my school on the website I am going to create)

Well I don't think it is a matter of God preparing you well enough. If God prepared you, you can believe it is well enough. But the actual case is God has given you all you need to prepare yourself, and the preparation is up to you.

But I still don't see how hanging our at the apologetics board and debating with atheists will prepare you to answer questions from unsaved people. It might help you to debate with them but debate does not win converts.

Anyway, welcome to the forums. I trust you will find everything you seek here. I hope you will be blessed in more than one forum, and that you will bless others.

I support your decision to encourage others with your beliefs but please consider the fact that not all atheists think alike or that you can assume that you know "pretty much" how they think.  Just like Christians, atheists can be "mature" with what they say as well as argumentative.  Especially when it comes to debates with evolution, scientific facts, etc.  Many Christians and atheists have provided quite intelligent responses to questions and situations. Also, considering your age, I will assume that most atheists you have spoken to will be around your age or they were people from your high school, etc.  Many people become atheists for different reasons.  However, that does not mean that all of them (us) dislike 'religious' people (I use this term loosely-being religious and being a Christian are related but can be seen as not all-together related); we just disagree.  Consider that you might receive questions or have conversations with people that have more "life" experience.  I know I have changed tremendously from 19 to 26.  Anyway, do not feel discouraged or offended because I am writing to you as an atheist.  I'm actually wishing you luck and hope that you and others learn from your/their experience.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make any generalizations. Thanks for the advice though!
