Have never forumed before on the net so will be needing some to navigate, until I feel confidant.

I envy you being in Brisbane. I was a missionary with Mercy Ships (YWAM)... and I was based in Newcastle and I had a chance to visit Sydney and Cairnes. I LOVE Australia. The people were so friendly. I loved the churches I visited there too.

I can honestly say that I've never met an Aussie I didn't like!

You have me intrigued. What nationality are you? I too am a lover of language, especially useful with my hobby of crosswords!!

My children reflect this with their unaustralian names - Cheryl (Ann) - unusual in her age group; Zachary (Aidan); Vaughan (Angus); Rhiangar (Edan); Fallon (Evyn) and Brynn (Aithne).

My trusty Oxford does tell me that forum is a noun to describe a place of meeting for discussions and debating, however we aussies have always corrupted the English language, and as this destination has rules and regulations that must be adhered to I believe that I shall forum at the forum in accordance to those rules!!

Hi Ann,

I thought Cairns was the most beautiful place I'd seen in Australia... even if I didn't brave the Great Barrier Reef.

I also enjoyed when local people would come aboard our ship... they were so interested in the work that God was able to do aboard the ship. Unfortunately, the Island Mercy was sold. They have a bigger ship now. The IM will always hold the memories for me though.

I hope that some day you not only get to visit... but serve aboard one of the Mercy Ships... they are truly an amazing ministry.

Enjoy CF... hopefully our paths will cross again.
