  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just thought I would stop in and say hello to all my friends here. No, I didn't get mad at anyone. Life just got busy, and I have other things that fill my life. I am still in school, and will have 39 hours at the end of this semester. I am majoring in Computer Information Systems, with a concentration in Management information. It is very interesting, and very, how can I say....challenging. As most of my friends know, I became a grandmother in 2008, to Roxie. Well, Roxie now has a little sister! Fiona Nellis was born on March 3 of this year!! Yay!! Two grandbabies to love! :clap:I still work about 30 hours at my job, and take 12 hours of classes! So, that is what I have been up to!

I am new here, but would like to say Hello!!

Congratulations! How exciting and what a gift to have grandchildren. And I also congratulate you for being in school. Now, that must take so much time away from family. 12 hour classes also mean double the amount of studying and getting the work load done.
School has been extremely stressful for me this semester. I am thankful for what I've accomplished but for some reason I just feel alone and lost this semester.

Hi GnG, it's good to see you again!

I'm really glad things are working out for you as they are. I know you're working hard, both in school and at your "real" job (full time school's a real job too!) but it will pay off for you in the long run. Will you have to do an internship as part of your program? Will your job let you do it with them? How would that work with your paid position . . hmm . . . Does the company offer tuition reimbursement?

It's funny that you posted here, because I've been thinking 'I haven't heard from GnG in a while, wonder what she's up to now?' So know that you've been in my thoughts and I'm rooting for you. I'm also more than a little proud of you for taking this on. :)

Hellooo!!! Yes, School is getting a bit tougher, but it's okay, I am getting through it. I really don't know about an internship, it is a community college with an Associate's degree. I really don't think I want to continue with this particular job when I get my degree, though. It is a good company, but here on the local front, some of the management is lacking. I am as far as I can get without being management, and I don't want those kind of hours with the minimal pay. Some of the managers work 60 plus hours, and they
are on salary, which makes what they take home, equivalent to what I make. No thanks!
Thank you, FJD for thinking of me. It also means a lot to me that you are in my corner.

Hi G&G! I too have been very busy and stayed away for quite a while.

Your life sounds very fulfilling. I am so glad for you! Go for it and enjoy every bit of it! God is good! Take care. :D
