Hi!
I'm someone that grew up in a Christian country (UK), as a child I attended Church, Sunday School etc. I didn't much enjoy the former or the latter, from memory at least! The church was a rather old school Methodist affair. I think they're a lot different these days but back then it was cold, gloomy and not really somewhere that would appeal to a youngster.
I'm not sure what age I would've been when I decided I didn't believe, perhaps in my twenties and that was twenty years ago, but for many years I've described myself as agnostic atheist. Not claiming to know for sure but leaning towards the negative. Well recently I've been wondering if that was a mistake? Maybe it's the times we're living in, maybe not.
Anyway, I've started looking again at what I believe and why. I'm talking to a friend who is Christian and at his suggestion read the gospel of John recently. Now I'm looking to be able to discuss some of the questions I have and found this forum and thought it a good place to start.
The only other thing that I want to say is that I'm sincere in looking for answers and will strive to act accordingly.
Matt
ps. I'll cheekily add a question if I may? I would like to be able to ask questions and want to do so in the best place possible. I'm not interested in scoring points or undermining anyone, I just want to be able to either ask questions about the tri-une nature say or faith or find where someone else has already asked those questions so I can get some answers.
Am I best posting in the outreach apologetics?
