We did! Quite a coincidence, doesn't it? I left Atlanta in summer, around August! I was in USA due to work.

It was also the same time the US economy crashed so badly and here we are, the economy is in dire straights again!

Either way, I really miss the place. The locals are so nice! Wide open spaces, it really felt like home!

The ONLY place I didn't like in Atlanta is Applebees.We experienced their renowned service for people of color first hand! I thought it's only a movie cliche but turned out real!

I really love Suwanee - it is full of Japanese and Korean and Vietnamese places with Wonderful food... And lot's of karaoke places for some reason... And an H-mart which is the best place for shopping international stuffs! (they don't over price things like those whole food stores...)

I just googled it and looks like a terrific place. I don't remember being there but I think we did. We drove up North along 85 to get to an outlet sale and shopped around but didn't drove around town.

OH what?? You didn't like the galopping General Lee and his peeps? And the song "the devil went down to Georgia?" where the devil went to steal a soul and got his butt kicked by a redneck with a fiddle?

I prefer hole in the wall - mom and pop restaurants and artsy weird - culturally "shocking" places where I can experience something new.

My favorite meals that I have had from Asia are Green, Thai curry, Vietnamese cold Spring Rolls, Korean Seafood Pancakes and BBQ and Japanese Takoyaki and i am quite a sucker for any ramen noodle and pho and sushi too xD I would eat asian quisine the rest of my life if I could haha

Wasn't just General Lee, I thought I also saw the modern army recruiting. The last image displayed is a huge pentagram. I was whaaaa!!??

Otherwise, the steam train ride was fantastic! It really hurt my butt but it's a winner!I love classic steam trains!

I grew up in an area with many immigrants from "middle eastern" countries - but not necessarily many had their own restaurants. Mostly Turkish Doner Kebab - and some Greek style Restaurants. (Which I have never truly enjoyed the Greek food in america yet - I haven't been to LA or NYC where I would suspect Greek food would be amazing. Maybe in Atlanta there will be a growing community of Middle Eastern immigrants - hopefully. But I kind of fear for them, because in Ga the culture is very much ANTI anything middle eastern and "muslim".
Heart breaking when God sees fit to move them here, it's the perfect opportunity for us to share Christ without being afraid of what could happen to us, if we tried to be missionaries in those countries.

Americans nowadays forgot that they once too were refuges to a foreign land and how they had to make everything happen from scratch. And they created this wonderful melting pot. I pray this trend of hating outsiders will give way to some compassion and curiosity.

Oh another cuisine I haven't ever had is Jewish/Israeli food... I would totally love to try that too some time... And of course one of my favorites was Spanish food - but I never really had much spanish food outside of Spain. So the experience as a whole might have made it incredible.

Maybe one day I will share my story, it's long and God did some incredible things. But I have been bullied for my testimony in another Christian Forum so I am a bit hesitant to share it honestly.

Either way, I have had the privilege to be involved in some Mission Work, and travelling while serving Christ, experiencing some different cultures and that has forever changed my heart and desires.

Recently I have actually started counseling and it has really helped dealing with a lot of stuff that I have experienced growing up, and with my family since becoming a Christian and other experiences while serving in the Body. It's a really really good Journey, not the easiest, but I know that things that aren't easy in the long run are really worth it, right?

I am an artist, writer and I dabble in some music - mostly for mine and the Lords amusement mostly and even though I am very introverted, for some reason children energize me.

I especially feel a passion for children from tough and challenging backgrounds. I was having a second interview to work at a Boys and Girls club in the local area and then COVID-19 sent us all inside - and so I am looking forward to completing the process once we are allowed to mingle again.

Things I really need to improve is that I haven't read through the Bible in it's entirety yet. But I am seeing more and more through my counseling sessions how the bible in it's entirety is one beautiful whole. And has helped me to learn a lot more about God's character as a whole and hopefully by understanding how I am viewed and loved by Him, I will also start viewing myself in a better light.

Hi sister, welcome to CF. I’m sorry you were bullied on another forum, that sometimes happens here to some degree but the moderators do a pretty good job of keeping that kind of behavior in check. Something to keep in mind when this sort of thing happens that helps me to cope with it are these verses.

Some forums are less truth based than others, when it comes to Christian forums - it's very interesting how as Christians we should be one body - and yet we are such a divided entity. It is pretty heart breaking isn't it?

It’s true but I think it can be very beneficial to get different perspectives from fellow believers and examine their beliefs and test them in comparison to our own beliefs.

I lived in the Middle East for two years and I was able to try most their dishes and loved most of it. Pakistani dishes are also terrific!

Usually, the poorly-behaving Muslims are only those that didn't have good education. Ironically, I worked odd jobs in few different countries, different employers. Mainly because of the better salary than at home

Spanish food sounds terrific! The only Spanish food I regularly eat are Spanish sardines in olive oil, lol! I guess if they are crazy about olive oil. They must be really good!

Spanish is very similar to Arab cooking, in some ways.
