hi my name is camila and i recently turned 46, iam approaching 50 and i do not know what i should do with my life, i feel like i have done everything. the only things that make me happy is spending time with my sons which rarely happends, i enjoy cooking but i do not have the time to do it, the highlights of my day is usually praying because it gives me hope.
but what can i do to get motivation back and try new things?

Good and godly company can motivate. There are christian fellowship forums and bible study groups on this site. They can be found on the taskbar at the top. You may find some inspiration there. God bless :).

Hi Camila, nice to meet you. I see that you're widowed - I'm sorry to hear that. I also gather from your comments that your sons are growing/grown up, so you may be feeling a bit unmotivated due to changing circumstances. However I think that will pass and you will have a new phase of life, with plenty of opportunities, whilst still enjoying time with your family when you can. :)

You say that your best time is when you are praying - and that's a good start! The best thing any of us can do is to stay close to God, both in terms of giving priority to His Kingdom, and also receiving the good things He wants to give us, including a sense of purpose and fulfilment. Ultimately I don't think there is anything more fulfilling that living the Christian life, but I know that there are times when circumstances can make life a bit more challenging. So prayer, Bible reading and Christian fellowship, as mukk-in has suggested, are the foundations. However you also might like to prayerfully consider either developing your cooking skills or taking up a new hobby, if you can find time. I also think that physical exercise is of great benefit to a sense of well-being. I hope that helps and I'll say a prayer for you. :prayer:
(As I was praying Jeremiah 29 v 11 came to mind. :))
