I think it's been close on 1.5 years since I've been on CF now, but hi to everyone here. I don't think I know any (or many) of you

I'm intending to be back here on and off again (now that I don't spend my whole life on the site as I used to!) and expect it'll be here in this forum somewhat.

I guess I should say who I am! I'm Hannah, and I"ve been married 3 and a bit years. We've been trying for about 3.5 months now for a baby, and whilst I realise that's nothing in the amounts of time that many wait, it's been quite a frustrating time. I have PCOS and up until 4 months ago my cycles were relitively regular - i.e. 14-26 days long. 4 months ago, it was like my body decided to that change is good (I don't think so!). It's now about 63-66 day cycles, and I'm hoping it starts evening out soon. I'm currently (as of yesterday) having blood tests to see if I'm ovulating and that and doctors chekcing to see if I can actually have metformin (as I suspect I can, remembering the medical info I've read) whilst TTC.

I don't really know how to feel a lot of the time, often confused and unhopeful, but so hopeful and anticipating at the same time.

Hi! We've been trying casually for about 10 months. I'm not in a hurry but my husband is getting impatient. I figure it's just more time to get things done, get healthier and should have been time to lose weight...but I didn't. Good luck!!

I understand how frustrating it is! Hopefully getting tests done will help you figure things out and give you a little bit more "peace" as to why it hasn't happened yet. And, gosh, I hope you can get your cycles evened out a little bit... that must make it exceptionally hard to try to conceive!

To be honest, I'm kinda waiting and waiting, but at the same time, just letting it happen. Certainly not planning every moment or anything like that though!

I'm "hoping" that two things I've been doing recently will help the process. First is going gluten free (some gluten links to PCOS and also the intolerance can cause infertility - I have had blood tests and am confirmed gluten intolerant), and also losing weight (went gluten free 9ish weeks ago and have averaged 0.3kg loss since then (just under 1lb a week). I've so far lost (including the amount before going GF and about a year ago when I was intentionally losing weight) over 11% of my body weight and a little to go til I"m in the healthy weight range.

Feel a little confused for logistically reasons of having a baby (we live in a 23ft caravan)... And I am going to be studying (up until I'm preg at least) and running a home business (yes, we have boxes of stock in the caravan!!). It's a little tight now, but hopefully by then, we can afford a house, or have made room

Well that's definitely a great step to aid in conceiving! I've been thinking about starting a journal of my food intake so I can map out what I'm eating and what may not be helping etc.. And congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome!!!!

Something that encourages me is that even through all of the unsuccessful months and disappointment our God is the same God as He was yesterday and He will be tomorrow. He has plans for us that we can't even imagine. But that doesn't mean that we can't take TTC into our own hands as well. We have to give the desire for children over to God and judge our next step through prayer and reading the Word, but He has also given us doctors and medications to help us.

Hey again everyone... I'm currently at about 23 days since last AF and HOPING this month is it Though at the same time, I'm kinda trying not to hope, having high hopes means further to fall.

In saying that, some things are definitely pointing that way, i.e. sore and bigger breasts for past 3ish days (they'd shrunk and bra's are fitting again, that didn't a week ago) - this is a first for me, I don't think they've even been sore before in my whole life... and currently I am so exhausted, it's only 9.30pm, I've done nothing today hardly (still holidays for me and hubby) and we didn't get up til nearly 10am this morning. Up until now, I've been not tired at all since I went gluten free 2 months ago (before that slept 9-10+ hours a night, now 8 if that).

I know, I'm reading into things

Well, I've taken a couple of tests (cos I got heaps cheap (i.e. ebay) at one stage)...

So far I've had a couple of evaporation lines I think (i.e. line at 20 minutes) so will test again on 16th and then pretty much take that as my expected correct test as it'll be 31 days then since last one. I'm feeling slightly hopeful, but at the same time, not really. God will do what he knows best and I know that. I'm still very sore, which is still unusual, and have been going toilet much more often, as well as waking 4-5 times a night sometimes to pee, sometimes feeling uncomfy and irritable. I don't knwo abut I feel confused and tired from waking up so much!

Well, I've taken that test and it's a no.

So now, I'm left to work out what is going on with my body! All of the things I've talked about up above are still happening, but my temps slightly higher than usual (i.e. 0.5-7deg c), and I've hardly moved all day I'm so exhausted. To be hoenst, I'd really like an answer as to why I feel so different - and pregnancy accounted for everything (literally).

Dena, if I remember rightly, we got married on the same day (16 Sept 06?)... Interesting that we are trying at the same time I've heard that 11 months isn't too long (many take that long) but I know it's much harder when you are actually waiting for that long *hugs* Is it considered the norm where you live to go to the doctors after 1 year regarding infertility possibilities? I know it is here (1 year under 30, 6 months over).

I think I've had an early miscarriage this month to be honest. It's way more physically painful than others (sometime has contraction like (well my best guess!) pain and that) and lots worse with some other "indicators". I'll save the grosser details. Emotionally, I'm neither way about it at this stage, though I think it may hit later on if I struggle for a while. I have a feeling this could be my second one as I saw a positive on my test back in November... I definitely will survive it, and not really that emotionally sore, just physically!

Hope all is going well for everyone/ you two.

I have no idea? Most people I know get pregnant very easily. Except for one friend, I think she tried for three years first. I wasn't planning on talking to the doctor about it unless we go past 18 months.

Nobility... thanks for thinking of me. We're onto our next cycle of trying. Only #5, but we're on our way to the doctors starting this month and will begin fertility testing, because we think there may be a potential problem, so this is a nerve-wracking time for us.

Hey again everyone. I've been trying to limit my time here except for occasion catch ups. No point focusing too much on it whilst I am studying and running a business too I guess.

We are up to about month 6-7 (we started trying between that), I'm at the point where I've about 4 days til I can test now, and I'm a little nervous to be honest. I'm happy to wait if that is what God wants though.
