Hey everyone, my name is Jenny Lucado. I'm an indie Christian author, I've recently released my first Christian devotionals book..

I would love to get to know as many people as possible on here. I want to continuously strengthen my relationship with God, and one way of doing that is connecting with people who are as passionate about God as I am!

I'll start with an introduction of myself:

I was born and raised in San Diego, California in a non-Christian home. I was often abused as a child and my parents made me believe that I was the problem. I grew up with a very warped perception of reality, until one day in my teens, I met some new friends who invited me to a Christian youth group. That's where my life would drastically change.

These new friends showed me the Love of the Lord and it completely changed who I was as a person. After accepting Christ into my heart, I devoted my entire life to spreading the Love of God to anyone and everyone I could. That is why I wrote my first book.. I read the page you posted, and as I said there I don't feel I'm your target audience.
I read the whole thing and I'd say it feels very vanilla. It sounds like you have an interesting past, you should use it to connect to readers. Everyone has lived through some level of heartache and tragedy; use your knowledge of what that feels like. It's when reading something that makes me think "I've felt like that too, but have been too afraid to say so" that I instantly want to know everything that person has to say. Or, "that's exactly how I felt, but I didn't understand it or have the words for it" it doesn't necessarily have to be about heartbreak and tragedy. Just a new level of understanding.
*edit* sorry, instant critique is just habit for me! I forget it's a rude thing for the general public. I mean no offense.
