Hi everyone! I’m excited (and a little nervous) to be here. I’ve been learning to quiet distractions and focus more on God lately, and I’m grateful for a place like this to grow and connect with others who love Jesus.

A little about me: I love quiet mornings with coffee and the Word, walks outside to clear my mind, and finding small ways to serve others. God’s been teaching me a lot about trust this year, especially Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” It’s been keeping me grounded.

Looking forward to learning with you all and encouraging each other here. How do you all like to start your mornings with God?

I've been blessed with a wonderful wife, family and grandkids. But blessings are not limited to things we enjoy but also things that cause growth. It is my desire to commit all things into His hands and leave them there. I find that in the early mornings before duty calls is the best time to think on Him and pray that my desires line up with His Word.
i find the day will then have much more clarity.

Usually I find it easier to just start my day and weave in time to reconnect with God on my work breaks, but if a morning routine works for you, go for it! A Place of Quiet Rest by Nancy Leigh DeMoss was a really helpful book for me to understand what belongs in quiet time with God each day and how to push the depths of that relationship.
