Hello, All. I've been living in a Small Rural Village in the corn belt for almost five years now. My wife and I moved here because its a little less than an hour away from her grandkids. I am a baby-boomer with a mainline liberal protestant background and progressive leanings. You might have guessed that not everyone shares those leanings around here. And, my wife and I are what some might call "unequally yoked." I have time to read, yet fellowship and community are becoming issues, I'm feeling a bit isoated. I do volunteer in various capacities at the community food pantry and am looking, now that covid seems tamed, for other opportunities to grow in faith while serving others. I've been a persistent visitor at some local churches for worship and study, on and off, but haven't taken that last step of membership in any congregation. I'm here hoping to find some niche where I might fit in. Thanks to all who keep this going.
