  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I guess anyone who hasn't accepted Christ as Lord, and who's name is not found in the book of life at the last judgment. A book I read about Revelation (called '666 and all that') said that there is a slim chance that someone who doesn't know Christ might still be saved - maybe that is what that bit in Revelation is about.

I really don't seem to fully comprehend how important that is. My whole family is not Christian, and yet I don't feel the grief that I should regarding their unbelief. If I did it might be a better motivator to bring myself to act to somehow get them to change - although its hard to imagine how I could get them to listen to me.

Anyone else have the same problem with family? Actually maybe its better not to hijack the thread eh...

I believe that except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of heaven. The wages of sin is death. Unless we repent and exercise faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ - we are on the road that leads to destruction.

I don't go around telling people that they are going to hell, but do try to warn people about God. We can't take the parts of Scripture that we find easy to deal with and forget about the rest of it - it doesn't express Jesus is an honest way.

Alovera: I know how you feel, but I've found that as I go on in my Christian life, I can talk to my family more and more. Just try never to miss an opportunity to preach the Gospel, just casually talk to them, challenge them, find out what they believe first and then share what you believe.

End of Matthew 25:

Then he will say to those on his left: "Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you didn't invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was in prison and you did not look after me."

They also will answer, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?"

He will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me."
