Maybe. it's really just a reaction to the post and run people. And it's good for a laugh. I may not agree with your beliefs, and you may not agree with mine, but I think we can all agree that northern European Black Metal is hilarious and pathetic.

Oh totally, I'm with you. Many of the Norweigan guy's would'nt understand what Satanism is actually about, nor the herd minded stupidity of "grim, anti-life black metal" as beeing the oly true black metal, if the facts bit em in the behind!
But they make some cool music. and they are'nt ALL bad, Take Fenriz from 'Darkthrone' for example, he actually seems like a real down to earth and intelligent dude.
Take the guys from 'Empero'r, very mature individuals compared to many in black metal.

I too am a metalfan, and a HUGE black metal fan{though preferring synth black metal}

We may agree to more degree than you think.
We are both faithless nontheists for example, we both love metal and see the elitism and social darwinism and misantrhopy so prevalent in black metal and beeing done by them in the name of Satanism, as incorrect,laughable, stupid, and a joke!

I am more of a Death Metal kind of guy, or a modern Spazzcorist. The TBM I like I hven't heard, as such (When you make the kind of music Emperor makes you don't get to be TBM anymore....brother...) but Metal Idiology always leaves me cold, no matter who is doing the philosophising. it's my contenetion that the truth Metal speaks is utterly seperate from the words their writer's choose, and that it comes froma much deeper and more primal place. It's the sound a good Metal band makes that tells the honest truth. The words are almost always trite and cumbersome in comparison.
