I have seen the bottomless pit in a dream. I was falling and falling with no bottom. Later I found out that this was a volcano that was not active. But it becomes active in the book of Revelation.
What evidence do you have and the real point is: What is Hell? I can accept that Hell is separation from God, but just what is the result of that? I am sure they do not go to Heaven, so they must go somewhere.Thousands that went to hell today, believe in Hell now.
And they believe in Jesus, also , and this does not help them at all.

In the lake of fire that is the second death. So, where do you put them for eternity?
In the lake of fire that is the second death.
Revelation 20 13 The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death— the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
People that do not go to Heaven have to go somewhere. We believe hell is a separation from God.Yes.
Hell starts thei Christ Rejector 's (never born again) eternity., and the Lake of Fire is the continuation.
People that do not go to Heaven have to go somewhere. We believe hell is a separation from God.
I believe every name is written in the Lamb's book of life from the foundation of the world. If they reject God, then their name is blotted out of the Book of life.People who are unbelievers, who are alive right now, are as danmed. as those who died tomorrow, rejecting Christ, never being born agian.
Yes, considering the Christian religion as we know it (a human construct) did not exist until man made up the doctrines and rituals of the institution. So there must be something more relevant than the religion for salvation. The non Christian has no assurance of salvation but it is evident God will determine ( not us per Matthew 7:1-12 etc.) the good from the evil ( Romans 2:11-16 etc.). The Lord in His righteous judgment takes into account everyone’s situation ( Matthew 12:31-32, John 3:16-21 etc.).
Separation from God's love, yes. Not separation from God. Otherwise He was not omnipresent (refering to Psalm 139 and Revelation 14).People that do not go to Heaven have to go somewhere. We believe hell is a separation from God.
If I correctly understand what the EO have said, the Eastern Orthodox version of Hell is basically being in God's presence, but being tormented by it.Separation from God's love, yes. Not separation from God. Otherwise He was not omnipresent (refering to Psalm 139 and Revelation 14).
That makes sense. The lake of fire isn't even open to most people until the final judgment.Dante's depiction of Hell in his literary work, "The Divine Comedy," is not found in the Bible. While the Bible does contain descriptions of punishment for the wicked, such as the "lake of fire" in Revelation, Dante's portrayal of Hell includes many elements and levels that are not described in the Bible.
Dante's vision of Hell is based on his own personal beliefs and experiences, as well as the teachings of his time, which included both Christian and classical sources. His depiction of Hell is primarily a work of fiction, intended to convey moral and theological ideas through vivid imagery and allegory.
Therefore, the concepts and imagery of Dante's Hell are not explicitly found in the Bible, and his work should not be interpreted as a literal representation of the Bible's teachings on Hell.
If I correctly understand what the EO have said, the Eastern Orthodox version of Hell is basically being in God's presence, but being tormented by it.
Myself also. Then I agree with that position
That's fairly accurate. C.S. Lewis wrote that "Hell is locked from the inside." God's love is fire, but how we respond to it in this life determines how we are affected by it in the next. If we believe and respond, God's love will be light and life. If we hate, then God's love is torment. If I correctly understand what the EO have said, the Eastern Orthodox version of Hell is basically being in God's presence, but being tormented by it.
Yes, imagine if a few hundred years from now a denomination takes the Left Behind series as gospel truth. What Dante talks about is a paranormal layer that exists created from human imagination.
I think there are already some star trek variations of the gospel circulating in the new age movement, so it could happen.Yes, imagine if a few hundred years from now a denomination takes the Left Behind series as gospel truth.
