People think; if one goes to hell, it will never leave there, this does not have sense.
But, if hell is a place where conscience is taken from our bad conducts, for the repentance, then, hell is a place of true correction, where we cleaned ourselves of all our bad spirits,
Thus it would have sense
You're exactly right with this. In fact, when you read the verses about the people that are judged & in hell, it uses "gnashing of teeth".It would, but don't people go to hell because they don't want to change? If they wanted to be with God, they would have accepted salvation....but they are dead but don't want to be made alive. I don't see hell as just some punishment, God still loves them, they are just not seeing or accepting His love.
I do wish that it was a place of correction though.
I have realized; some post have removed to light the lack from mercy that reigns in its heart of which it wrote it.
It is truely sad, have shown the image of a cruel God, instead of a full God of love and Almighty that always it pardons to that they regret.
They do not know hell perhaps, if they saw a drug addict undergo abstinence would have an idea, or perhaps would be necessary to live the abstinence from the drug addict because thus it is hell.
God is not vindictive, but it hard corrects to those who loves.
MATTHEW 18
21 18 Then Peter approaching asked him, "Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?" 22 19 Jesus answered, "I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.

According to Revelation that describes this "POND" of yours, it's burning and full of brimstone too.Interesting word, this word "lake." The word lake in Rev. 19, 20, & 21 is "limen, which comes from Strong’s "[#3040--limen](through the idea of nearness of shore); a POND (large or small) -- lake."
And the word limen means "a harbor—haven, the fair havens" (Strong’s Greek Dictionary, p. 151).
A pond? God judges the world in a pond? Yes,God judges every unrepentant, unbelieving, wicked person that has ever lived (billions and billions and billions of people) -- The WHOLE WORLD OF HUMANITY (who are not in the first resurrection)… in a pond. A pond of divine, purifying SPIRIT.
This word limen has the word "fair" before it in Acts 27:8, in the King James Version—the "fair havens." Other translations render this verse as "safe harbor." (My father helped build Safe Harbor Dam in Pennsylvania).
According to Revelation that describes this "POND" of yours, it's burning and full of brimstone too.
Anywhere I want to be? NO, I'd like to be with the Lord Jesus WHO I ACCEPTED AS MY SAVIOUR TO RANSOM ME AND PAY FOR MY SIN.
Revelation 19:20
[ Doom of the Beast and False Prophet ] And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.
Revelation 20:10
And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 21:8
" But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
Does this pond sound like a picnic at the park or is it just me?

This is incorrect. The word translated "lake" in references to the lake of fire is limne which is Strong's # 3041Interesting word, this word "lake." The word lake in Rev. 19, 20, & 21 is "limen,
While that is true of limen (# 3040) it is not true of limne (# 3041) which has a one-word definition: "lake." You cannot be definitive about the meaning of a word by its root, although it does give guidance as to the thought of the originator. That is true in Greek or in English. Going back to the root is a common error of people who wish to make the Bible read as they want, not as it actually does.Iwhich comes from Strong’s "[#3040--limen](through the idea of nearness of shore); a POND (large or small) -- lake." ... Hell/lake of fire isn't CORRECTION - it's judgment and punishment of the deeds done in their life.Originally Posted by 7angel

EXACTLY. As it stands, we'd all have to have secret decoder rings with scholars who would be the ONLY ONES who could read it's mysterious overt and HIDDEN messages... AND NEVERMIND THE POOR LOST SAPS who can't even get the spiritual meanings found between the lines that they need the Spirit to relay.Since this thread has turned into "beating a dead horse" and clearly some folks can't get past God being more than simply a God of love, I'm refraining from utterly dragging this thing on.
See ya's in another thread, gang. Remember, don't make the Bible into what YOU want it to say and teach. Let the Scriptures speak for themselves. God did NOT give us a book of secret meanings. There is no need to play detective. The first rule of hermeneutics is to allow the text to say what it does. NEVER try to make it a "play on words" as some often do.
Peace, love you all.
Thanks alot for that, I was too busy to look anything up.This is incorrect. Your effort to make hell redemptive is absolute heresy, and you are using the worst form of scholarly subterfuge to do so.
The bible teaches that after death there is only judgment left.I disagree that judgment is a correction. Judgment is the penalty phase for their choices.
I would have to ask that if judgment is a correctional period, then can we as Christians get a second chance for more rewards if we get another chance to do good and undo what we did wrong? And if so, where is this found in the Bible?
Christians are being given reward at that time for what they did and did not do. Where does anyone see its a time of correction and second chances?
