Exactly.
So if it's being proposed that we are saved through prayer, I don't know of anyone who prays without ceasing.
I think that's why those who believe that the prayerless are hell-bound aren't keen on answering my question.![]()
Prayer doesn't save. No where does Jesus say that.
John:
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The Hebrews (scriptures) never had this door. They were blocked by ignorance of the true God.
Jesus was the first Light in the world, the first Truth from God the Father, and is the (only) Way.
Finally, Paul explains that works alone is not what saves us, but by the Father's grace (understanding, patience, love) it is accepted as a gift.
Ephesians:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
When a Priest/leader prays and you say "amen", are you praying? Don't be led by man.
