I believe that passage is saying the same thing and the preceding verses
make it clear. Also, there's no need for Jesus to die multiple times for our sin.

I am with you there; sometimes it makes it easier to preach the opposite to understand what you believe. I call it taking a theology out for a walk

His blood covers ALL my sin.
