  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In terms of percent, how many people will go to heaven? From what I read, it appears that very few people will make it. Why, then, did God create humans? And, if so many people go to hell, wouldn't it appear that God lost to the devil? How can a being lesser than God have so much control?
What matters is that YOU know the truth.
The devil will alway bring the "yeh but" and try to get us to
doubt God and His love and mercy that he has offered to all men.

The New testament show us that while Christ was in the grave He
preached God's gospel of forgiveness and pardon to all those who
would were already dead from before Christ's arrival upon the earth.

This shows us the character and intent of God to save all those
that He can, because God really is love and He really does desire
mercy ABOVE sacrifice.

The devil tries to deceive us and convince us that God is not so
merciful as God extends His hand to all who hear the gospel
of Jesus Christ and gives them a choice to believe
and receive or reject God's mercy.

Those that never hear the gospel will be at God mercy and I believe
that God is merciful and that all must come through His Christ
ever how God brings that about which is His business.

Don't let what others do or do not do keep you from
God's love and mercy as exampled in that God died on YOUR
cross for YOUR sins as He took YOUR punishment upon Himself.

Fear and doubt are the two biggest tools the devil brings to
us to turn us from God so that we will do what the devil has done
from the beginning, lie and accuse God as the devil hopes to turn
us away from God's love and mercy in Christ.

God is willing and able to save all those who are willing to
receive His love and mercy in Christ.

I don't worry about it.

I know that God is good.

I know that God can come to a person who is dying and reveal Himself
to them in their heart and if they say YES, they will be with the Lord.

Don't believe the lies of the devil.

God is love.
God is merciful.
God is gracious.
God is kind and God will do whatever He can to bring all
that will say yes to Him into His kingdom.

Revelation 7:9-14

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

We cannot possibly know the percentage of people going to Heaven and Hell, God however does know.

What we do know is what the bible (God's word) tells us. And it tells us that most people (the many) will go to Hell and the minority (the few) will go to Heaven.

Matthew 7:13-14
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Satan and his demons only has the power he has because God allows him to have it. The bible makes this clear in many, many places, e.g. the book of Job, the gospels, Revelation as so on.

Luke 8:32
A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into them, and he gave them permission.

God doesn't allow Satan and his demons to tempt us more than we can handle:

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Satan wants to ruin what is God's - God created us for his pleasure and so that we might have a relationship with him. Satan tricked Eve in the beginning and continues to this day to bring as many as possible away from God and into rebellion with him. God however triumphed over Satan's plan by reconciling man to himself through his son, Jesus Christ.

Colossians 2:15
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

God has allowed Satan to have this power but it will not always be so. There is a coming day when Jesus will return in judgement and Satan will be taken out of this scene. God will rule here instead.

If most people did go to hell, God would be a sadistic liar. However the bible is far more complicated then just - me = good (jesus saved me ^insert angels singing.) Everyone else = bad.
Go to hell.

Serves them right.

That isn't christianity, that is come into my parlour little fly, and give me all your money and let me have power over you. Oh, trust me. I speak for God.

Listen to me - and you will go to heaven. Support my career and this church. And you will go to heaven.

Ignore us, and risk eternal damnation. Oh and the church needs a new steeple.

If you want to know what true christianity is, ask God. People are people.

(which doesn't mean everything that every christian ever says is wrong, it just means if you want to be a sheep, then follow the shepherd and listen to his voice, first - not that of the other sheep in the pen with you.) Only God is God. No matter how mature another christian you trust, might be.

(and if you don't resolve this issue it can seriously hinder your walk. It's hard to love someone you don't respect.)
