  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

hehehehe :p

What I was trying to say is that when someone says that the word heart is a metaphor they are not talking about having a "Metaphorical heart" but are saying that "inviting Jesus into your heart" is a metaphor.

For your information the metaphor is this:

The heart is a symbol of the most essential center of your being, so when you are "asking jesus into your heart" you are asking Jesus to be the center of your existance (and when christians say repent, they mean to sincerely turn away from what ever was the center of your existance previously).

Erm, I think the phrase "ask God into your heart" is metaphorical.
yeah, God doesn't want to come into your blood-pumping muscle....

as an answer to the original posters question, no, they are not "born-again."

where is this 'metephoical' heart located and why don't I have one?
it's your soul/sprit, something beyond the sight of men.. but it's rather who you are.

I'm just curious. If you ask god into your heart and you die and then your family donates your parts, does that make the recipiant a christian by proxy??

Is this like Asking god into my 'metaphorical' sock? I don't get it.

Seems to me, you have a problem. At best, you have an argument of ignorance.

Do you not know what a metaphor is? Do you not know that the "heart" in the metaphorical sense implies love and/or soul?

I believe you lack the base knowledge to properly understand your own questions, much less the answers.

Or perhaps, ... your implied stupidity is sarcasm? If so, then your real question would focus on "soul". What is a "soul"? Is it real? What defines it? ...

I hope this is the case because I have questions about the "soul" of a person, also. Matter of fact, I was browsing for the topic when your topic caught my eye.

Good luck, in your endeavors either way.
