My father recently had a heart attack. He is doing good now and is back home, but there is a concern for him and me. Heart problems are apparently herditary in my family and I too have to watch my health. I must give up smoking and I have to watch what I eat. (My father does too) I have asked God to help me and so far, I don't have any cravings for cigerettes, so I'm doing good there. Please just say a little prayer for me and my father. We need all the help we can get.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've just finished a good book by a Christian author called 'deadly emotions' I think his name is Don Colbert. It delves into the main causes of heart problems and has alot of proof on the relationship between stress and alot of other causes of heart problems. You may want to read it, I realized it had alot to do with my own health.
