  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I love head coverings and I wear them at times when I pray.
I love to make my own head coverings. With colorful, batik fabrics. I love fabrics.
Anyone else cover their heads?
Note- I'm not condemning anyone who doesn't wear one. I believe you should be free to wear your hair as you like to. I just wonder how many believers actually wear one.
Just curious

I was covered for a year and wore it continually. I used Jewish tichels and scarves. It was a unique experience in modesty and an opportunity to connect with others who do the same from different cultures. Muslim women were especially kind and always made eye contact when we met. Indian women did the same.

Now I use them for prayer. There are moments when I’ll pray uncovered. Its no longer a practice set in stone. I go by my spirit.

These are the styles I wore. But I didn’t have hair showing in the front.

Try wearing it in an evangelical setting. One person was offended. Another asked if I was in mourning. :p

It was a little constraining. Not physically. But I felt my beauty was altered. I wore makeup but it felt odd. Like I was veiled and hidden.

When I took it off there was sense of freedom. Literally letting your hair down. I noticed the difference immediately. Covering evoked a different spirit. Quieter and less gregarious.
