Headaches...

Is it normal to have headaches when you are pregnant???
I haven't really ever had lots of them, but the past few days i have had headaches nearly all day.
Usually when i get them its cause i'm not drinking enough water... but i have been drinking so much water it can't be that!!!

They aren't like migraines, nothing that bad, but they do make it hard to sleep at night.

Sorry if this is a silly question... but this is my first pregnancy and i don't know what to expect!!!

Yes, getting headaches is Very normal. Your blood volume has increased so everything seems to run sluggish in your body. Because of the increased blood volume you can end up having headaches. There are also, what I call, hormone headaches, from the hormone levels changing in early pregnancy. (I've been getting both this time.)

Well its good to know that i'm normal!!!

I'd rather the headaches than the morning sickness any day...

with my 2nd, i had horrible migraines. so, i'm glad this time it's only been a headache every once in awhile.

try to get some rest! and keep up with your drinking water.

Can be low blood pressure too... a cup of tea will work wonders for that!

I have been really watching how much water i drink to make sure it is enough lately, esp cause we are just coming into summer and its getting REALLY hot!!!

I get a headache nearly everyday, but they have been getting less bad...(really good english there!!!). Which i see as a plus!

Yeah, I've been going thru sinus headaches AND the hormonal headaches. I have a herbal heating pack I use (Flax and peppermint) that I spritz with water, stuff in the microwave 30-40 seconds and apply as long as I can stand it.
It seems to help a lot... if nothing else to ease the tension. I have a baaaaaaaaaaad history with headaches, migranes etc from weather to sinuses to whacked out hormones.
