He Spoke it from the beginning, His Word is a double edged sword.

In the beginning God seperated the light and the darkness.
In the end he will seperate those who live in the light, from those who live in the darkness.

Adam and Eve stood before the Lord
So shall we all stand before the Lord one day

Enoch walked with God, and was not, for the Lord took him.
The Lord will return to take us some day.

There are many things in the story of the flood that represent our baptism in Christ.

Abraham was told to take his son, his only son whom he loved and offer him as a burnt offering.
Abraham told his son that God would provide himself a lamb, then they offered a ram.
It was through the seed of Abraham that the Lamb of God was later slaughtered for our sins.

The list tends to go on, and on here, the entire book of Genises has prophetic value to it, the beginning a mirror of those things that are to happen in the end, and things that have already happened.

My hope, and prayer is that others will see this and be encouraged to read Gods Word, not only the new testament but also the old, for each book of the Bible is important to read and holds many lessons that can be learned.

I hear people saying so many times over how important it is to encourage a child to read. I am certain that God feels the same way. He wants his Children to read the Word that he gave them, this helps them to draw closer to Him.

Amen! How true this is! It is sad to see "old" Christians feeding on the milk of the Word. We are told we must STUDY the Word. Only through a serious study can we progress to the meat!

Each time I do a study of a subject I have done many times before I see something new. The Word never grows old, but rather grows more and more real and sweet the deeper into It we go.
