I am considering going to Hawaii next year for our 5th anniversary.

Has anyone been before?

There are two Lost tours that look pretty good http://www.kualoa.com/ which is a stunning valley where Lost and Jurassic Park were filmed.

There is also this one http://www.bigkahunahawaii.com/en/activities/lost_tv_tour_632.htm which you see more of the island.

Sooooo I am a big geek in wanting to do these? DH is not a Lost fan at all but I am sure he would apprechiate the scenary on the tours. Or is it totally selfish? I did buy him Spamalot tickets last year and Elton John tickets for June so I shouldn't feel so bad (its my turn to be treated lol).

Two places I want to go before I die:

Hawaii for a Lost tour
New Zealand for a Lord of the Rings tour

If you're a geek for wanting to do this, then so am I. I say go, have a blast, and post pics for us. :)

Yeah Hawaii has always been at the top of my wish lists but the distance puts me off. We have to fly to the UK which is a 1 hour flight and to avoid delays we always stay overnight (we sometimes get morning fog and a delay could be havoc) then its 10 and a half hours to the west coast of the US. Then another 5 and a half hours to Hawaii. Its gonna be so tiring.

My parents are going in November for the second time. They love it.

My work friend is off to New Zealand to live for a while next week. I am about to leave for her goodbye party (its mostly females in the office and we have had a good cry today). Lots of people from over here have moved there. Not surprised because it looks like such a stunning place.

I've been to Oahu, Hawaii. We loved it. We also wanted to see where Lost was filmed, and did so, but not on that guided tour- though we saw that ranch! We took a hiking/snorkeling/boogie boarding tour, and our tour guides showed us some of the sets. Unfortunately, it was in June, so they were not filming.
I say if you can afford it- go for it!!!

Oh man I'd totally do it!!! We should plan a CF lostie trip to Hawaii :D
Yeah that would be such a cool idea!

My husband is now onboard with the idea. As soon as wel come back from San Francisco in June we are gonna save like crazy. He wanted to go to Canada next year which would be a lot cheaper than Hawaii so if we cannot afford it Canada would still be excellent.

Seeing stuff where 50 First Dates was filmed would be cool. I loved that film. Not as good as the Wedding Singer but still great.
