Hawaii is Far West

Is anyone here from Hawaii? I have family in Kauai and much enjoy that island.

OK, I'm not from Hawaii, I mean, I was born in California, but I visit it often. Just about every summer for the past four or five years, in fact. It's almost like a second home state to my family. Kauai in particular is our favorite island, and the one in which we spend most of our time on. Unfortunately, for a fair skinned blond person like me, it's pretty easy to get a bad sunburn... I hate that, but I still love the scenery!

No family, but I was bit by a 6 inch long centipede in Kauai....which reminded me of my family....

I got to agree with JB though it is my favorite island and knock your socks off scenic!

There are many neat caves to see (and explore? - not for me). It is not a large island, but a lot of diversity if one doesn't just sit on the beach, which I am tempted to do.

I live in Hawaii, on the Island of Maui
Was born at the Philippines then moved to Maui when i was 3 years young

From Kailua, but currently live in Maryland. Make it home about 3-4 times a year, though. Always miss it!

You are making me jealous, who does not want to go to Hawaii? Don't you ever move.

If you move to Hawaii (especially Kauai) be prepared for a SLOWER life style. That can be nice, but not when you must deal with the government offices or local businesses.
