I'm having trouble realizing the existence of Jesus... the existence of a creator is clear and easy to feel and determine, but for all I know the Creator I am speaking to may be the God of the Torrah, Alah, Buddah or anyone.

The existence of Jesus in particular as some sort of bond between God and me seems to be difficult to realize and my brain to acknowledge as real and fact.... even if the New Testament history confirms itself one day and even if logically it all makes sense. I feel like I could not even believe its real even if I heard Jesus preach back in early BC, although everything he says is so true and good... I think the only way I could believe Jesus is alive is if I saw him resurrected myself.

This difficulty has been a huge barrier between me and living way I am supposed to live... im sure.

Hi Cody
Good on you for searching for the truth about life. You should begin reading 1 or all 4 of the gospels.
Here are some verses you might find inspiring.

John 1:14

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 3:35

The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.

Matthew 11:27

“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

Matthew 16:27

For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

John 14:6 New International Version (NIV)

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 3:16 New International Version (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

I haven't read all of the replies but I am sure I know how most go and if I'm repeating anyone, I apologize. I have been in the same exact place you seem to be and I struggled for YEARS although I considered myself a Christian the whole time. I will tell you straight and address problems I had and pray that something I say may resonate with you. These are not in any order of significance so please bare with me. I'll start by saying even though many do not know where the term came from, there was an apostle who came to be known by us as "Doubting Thomas". I truly believe it wasn't so much a "God proved him wrong" scenario as it was a message to us that God knows that most of us as men, have a see it to believe it mentality. Jesus didn't shun, reject,or curse him when Thomas said prove it. Jesus proved it. Next, I found that if you actually study other religions with an open, unbiased mind, you'll find that Christianity is the only religion that not only holds up to common sense, but its the only one that tells us to think of others first and not ourselves. As a matter of fact Jesus tells us not to think or worry about ourselves at all because God will take care of us better than we ever could if we follow what he tells us. In my opinion the best cause for Jesus isn't really the undeniable proof if you believe the bible, Its the reason(in my opinion) that Jesus was needed at all. Believing in God is saying that he can do anything. If we admit to that then we're are also bringing up the fact (without the debate that God lives by the laws he set)that God could just make a loophole that would save us all. I really see it like this. In order for us to have no doubt, so we cant argue the fact that God has never been tempted and tried as we are every day of our lives, he had to put himself in our shoes. He had to prove once for all, that a man can resist evil. Neither us nor God needs a mediator between us. We needed proof and God wanted to give us proof (beyond the Hebraic laws blood sacrifice and atonement) that through faith and trust, we have power over evil temptation and original sin. Even when the Lord Jesus walked with us, there were few that had the revelation of the holy spirit that he is the son of God, and as he said "Many are called but few are chosen." I truly believe that if you ignore what most everybody says (because most people that call themselves christians have no idea why they even believe the way they do) And you exercise faith the size of a mustard seed by entertaining the idea of Jesus and pray for wisdom and for your eyes to be opened. With true study, as much as you can do about everything related to God,science, and all other religions, You'll get your answers. Sorry for the poor punctuation and the lengthy response.
