Having my first baby!

Ephesians 6

1: Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2: Honour thy father and mother; {which is the first commandment with promise}


I know this is very simple, but that’s me.
Children have one responsibility which makes life very easy for them, and that is to “obey your parents in the Lord for this is right”
In being obedient to you, they will learn obedience to God, as long as your Christian walk reflects that of in the Lord.

The benefits to the children are a promise from God.

Verse 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

The parents on the other hand have the responsibility to be obedient to God, and to walk according to the truths that God has set forth in the Word.

One suggestion: You {dad} keep a journal of your child’s growth. this may sound gay but it is pretty cool to reflect back and read the things that you wrote during the stages of life.
Someone gave me some journals bought in a store called {this one is for girls} A journal of Butterfly Kisses {By Bob Carlisle} It has pre written statements like [
“When I first held you in my arms”_______________________________.
“My thought s upon seeing you for the first time”______________________________ .
.The journal goes from birth to marriage.

Make one or by one …….but keep one.

Don't think that because they are little, they can't have a big impact. Teach them from the time they are tiny to be an example for God.
