Hmm...uncommon - probably depends on region. However, once I picked up my former SO from work and we were talking to her boss, who is from Hungary, and he frequently peppers his talk with a bit of bs here and there. I saw some berries on a bush - asked him if they were safe to eat...he said "oh yes, my wife, he* makes pie with them all the time"

*he = his bad english for she

So we ate some. Boy was that a mistake....
