Have you ever solved a case before Conan/Shinichi did? - Detective Conan

Im always trying to solve his cases before he solves them himself. I have only solved one case before him, which is the original episodes 102/103. Id love to hear what you all have to say.

Sadly, I only watched a few episodes and it was sort of tuned out for me, since I wasn't much on mysteries. I've watched a few series like it, but I've never been good at deducing such things, even if there are patterns.

Yeah; it really didn't catch my interest, either.

Plus, the fact that he was constantly having to sedate and impersonate an adult in order to explain things just got old after a while.

I see what you mean. I've just always been into mysteries since my childhood. Isn't the anime one of the longest running ones? You might think it's boring, but it gets really interesting when Conan finds the black organisation.

The parts of Spiral I've seen to date tended to be better at holding my interest.

In terms of mystery that I enjoyed, Rokka no Yuusha, which just ended recently, had a strong mystery element with the subplot where there's supposed to be Six Braves of the Flower, but there are 7, so they have to figure it out in a sort of closed room scenario.

Also, Ghost Hunt has piqued my interest as a mystery/detective series with occult/supernatural elements involved. I still need to see it, but it's high on my priority, even if it's about 24-26 episodes.

There's also a series of manga I'm following, one of which has finished at 1 volume. It's Shinigami Tantei or Reaper Detective. It's a kid called Shishigami who apparently has murders happen around him commonly, so he has taken on himself to solve them. The one that's still ongoing in scanlations (but done in Japan, I believe) is about a murder mystery at his high school, after a test of courage at the old school building turns grim.
