  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Have you ever seen??...

I've never seen it personally, and I find that to be comforting.

The L-rd has laid it upon my heart that He will hear my prayers, I just don't have to see the results. I find comfort in this thought, because I want all glory to be His.

This is strictly my personal feeling, and I make no judgment as to others. The L-rd just happens to know my heart better than even I do.

I have seen it many times. In fact, if you pray for it, God will make it happen. Luke 11:

9"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

I doesn't say ask and God may decide he likes you and give you something. It says plainly "Everyone who asks recives". Anyone who prays should see results, if that person don't, he or she needs to look around some more. Often, we take things for granted that aren't.

Yeah...

We have this guy at our youth who was ADHD sort of a guy, bounced off walls, when every one else was trying to praise God he'd just stand there and smile... but he'd be off with the "fairies" with this blank look on his face... what exactly was going on is anyone's guess. Anyway so he got progressively worse, and his dad used to beat the ---- out of him and any good impartation we had at church he would lose the minute he walked in the door. Cut a long story short, the kid even spent a few months in weekend detention for some petty crime... but there were a few of us who just kept on praying, uncertain of when God would answer.

About a year later, we saw him walk to youth (from his house the walk to church is about 4 or 5 kms (2-3 miles) and yet he walked, out of the blue just wanted to come to youth. His dad had left home, and he had slowly mellowed down over time and is on the road to becoming a disciple (I believe he is already saved, but now in the process of being trained in the things of God). And all because somebody bothered to pray

Another quick one, my pastor got saved 21 years ago, but it took his wife 14 years from that point to accept Christ, all while he was praying for her salvation. How awesome is our God!!!

Great testimonies..these are so helpful when I stand in prayer for something...Heard a preacher preach one time about how things are already done in the spirit realm when we pray and it takes our prayers to move things and for God to work...and sometimes it just takes awhile for tjhings to line up in the natural realm...

I personaly have had God move in my life(he's not done yet)...and I have seen Him move in others,
my mom was in a head on collision july4,1987...
She was seriously injured the Dr. told us she was going to die,her
injuries were to severe... not for God... she stayed in the hospital for
about a month, she found the Lord and was saved...
she was confined to a wheel chair, not suppose to ever be
able to walk again... for 8 months she would get in the prayer line...
and evanglist was at our church for a week... He prayed for her PUT his hands on her
legs and said: IN THE NAME OF JESUS WE ACCEPT THAT THIS WOMAN CAN WALK...
my mom stood up and took 3 little steps...
today she no longer needs her wheel chair... because of her faith... the Lord was just
and poured out His grace... and a miracle occured!
I have seen many other miracles may overtime I will share them...
right now the Lord is working in my husbands life... and i get to witness it!!!
