Have you ever read a school assignment book that you enjoyed?

Although it was years ago, I did enjoy reading Orwell's 1984, but yes, it was depressing.

I must be such a dork, because I usually like everything my teachers give me to read. I especially liked "Siddhartha," "Potrait of the Artist as a Young Man," and "Crime and Punishment." "East of Eden" was good, and "The Scarlet Letter," and.... etc.

I think being a bibliophile has something to do with it. Also, I'd read most of the books outside of class before they were assigned, so they weren't really forced on me.

Miles: The Autobiography of Miles Davis

You read that in college? D'you take a history of jazz class or something similar? It's a pretty interesting read, btw; I liked it as well.

Honnestly the only school book that i've read and liked studying from was in my final year of high School " Strictly Ballroom " It was more of a movie script then an actual novel but it was easier to understand the characters by following the script as you watched the movie.
