Have you ever been asked if you are homosexual just becasue you're not dating? It tends to happen more the longer you are single...... LOL

Yes. Some people I know consider it 'gay' to never at least have a girlfriend at all times. But as you go along in life, you learn that many people are idiots, and these types of things just help you identify them quicker.

I think this was on another thread. I remember answering this. Yes, I have been asked....by my own MOTHER! Talk about heartbreak! I hang around another female who is also 35 but never married (I'm divorced). Neither one of us dates. We're both overweight which equals no boyfriends...it does not equal gay! derrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

No, not really. Sometimes I get asked by friendly people why I'm not married, but as a joke...or some girls ask why I don't have a boyfriend but they are kidding too.

Yep....my own brother asked me! His whole thing was that I wasn't even talking about guys so that must mean I wasn't interested in them. He never has understood the view I've always taken on dating...oh well.

Yes I have been asked that (not directly but indirectly). My grandmother is always asking me, "Who do you like?" I say nobody and then she tells me, "I hope you are not gay." I just haven't found the right man. I am not concerned about dating right now. It kind of hurts when someone tells you that (especially when you try to explain why you are single to an unbeliever.)

Yes I have. In fact, people picked on me because they thought I was gay before puberty. You can bet I was asked if I was gay since.

I haven't, but at every family gathering, for both sides, they ask me whether I have a boyfriend yet. Loffly constant reminder. My grandmother sometimes even goes so far as to ask me when she can expect great-grandchildren. -_-

I think my college classmates knew better, but they certainly picked on me about it. Anger is an understatement...I almost ignited, which didn't help the situation any!

Yes, a few times... I even had my hairdresser ask if my roommate was my girlfriend! Talk about a shocker

Yep, I have numerous times. Even by my friends. They'd say their first impression of me was as a footballer type, but when I'd say I didn't have a girlfriend and I wouldn't show that much interest, that's when the questions would come.

Didn't really concern me. More just annoying. I know the truth afterall.

I would only know if a person isn't hetrosexual by the way they act or walk or even talk. Otherwise, I don't ask at all. That would be rude of me.
