  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been reading this forum and find it to be very much a eye opener. I do have a question though. Do you feel that all men can be saved even if they do not walk the same path as you?

I have studied the SDA and find many truth in them yet still feel they don't grasp the whole truth. As I try to grow in the word wonder does any teaching think that one or another faith is wrong as far as how it is taught and no matter what will not be saved?

I was reading the link someone posted about the Jewish faith and as I read and agreed found some parts making me feel I was not going to be saved no matter what I did.

I want so much to grow in God and to raise my daughter in the right way. I am open to any and all as long as it makes me study the word even more to be able to grow.

May the Lord continue to bless you on your journey into all true. May you gather the gems of truth where you may find them and continue on into new light. For the light will grow brighter, and brighter as the day dawns. The curtain will rise and the players will all be on stage for the last act of earth's history. We all see dimly, and search diligently, praying fervently for more light, that we may walk in it. As children of our Heavenly Father, we want to encourage you to continue seeking and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, and behold He stands at the door and knocks, if you hear His voice and let Him in, He will come in and sup with you and you with Him. Come and shall the gems you have found and the insights so that we all may be blessed.

Well for me anyway I think that many of us will follow Y'shua in different styles which you might see as a different path. I think about Peter and Paul and great examples here. Even the way they presented the gospel was very different. But it was the same gospel. For Peter I would not have been "Jewish" enough for Paul I would not be tough enough.

Does this mean that there have not been serrious errors introduced along the way? By no means! Men tend to drag all kinds of un-needed un wanted luggage with them wherever they go. There are lots of infulences along the way never intended by the Messiah. And I think not just from the Hellanized church too from the MJ community.

If we start with Christ crucified - Christ Died - Christ Burried - Christ arisen from the Dead, we are on good solid footing. The rest well as you will see in this fourum is open for discussion.

That is a profoundly accurate spirtual truth! There is not one thing you can do to be saved. Blessedly Messiah Y'shua did it all for you!

B4andNOW,

I just love your usename

you asked: >>>>>As I try to grow in the word wonder does any teaching think that one or another faith is wrong as far as how it is taught and no matter what will not be saved?<<<<< You bet!!!!! I've seen it over and over and continue to see it today.

I have done lots of research on the meaning of salvation and the avenues that different denominations focus on. I've been in lots of denominations myself over my lifetime and have focused on torah for the last 8 years. My conclusion at this time in the journey is that scripture focuses on right behaviour, obeying G-d, as the means to salvation. Men can "think" many things, men can interpret scripture very, very differently and all lay claim to the absolute truth, but thoughts do not change a man or his environment unless accompanied by proper actions. Many stress on the sacrifice of Yeshua alone as the means to salvation, but what is that faith, belief or "right thinking" without actions to back it up?

Just as the thread on sunday rest includes the comments on the obnoxious behavior of pastors and laypeople on sunday after church demonstrates, does one's "right thinking" save him or does one's right living as an expression of what one believes save him?

So your question "Do you feel that all men can be saved even if they do not walk the same path as you?" is a valid question. It appears from history and from the obvious differences in theologies and traditions of all believers, that we do intrepret scripture differently and that whatever you "do" and however you choose to express your faith, that it should reflect the righteousness as taught in Torah and through the life and sacrifice of Yeshua.

Bless your heart,
torahlife

Ok this may be a stupid question, but what is the SDA?
Seventh-Day Adventist

Founder: Ellen White (believed to be a prophet)

Beliefs: Saturday is Sabbath

Hold to a very strict diet, and have some other off-the-wall beliefs. Some say they are pseduo-cultish; others feel they are completely believers in Christ.

Very big into eschatology.
