  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do you have an extra Bible that you can spare? You can donate it here: http://www.freebibleforyou.org/

This could be a project for Lent. See if your parish priest or one of your parish organizations: KofC or Catholic Daughters is willing to have a small drive for used Bibles to give. It could be really easy, just have an anouncement made after Mass or put in the Bulletin and have a box set up by the door for people to put their extra Bibles in. CCD teachers could ask students if their family has an extra Bible they could donate.
Or if you like you can see if you can find some Catholic Bibles at the local Used Book Store and buy a couple to send.

Most people have more than one Bible, even if they don't read them. I know I had two Bibles before I started having a strong lasting interest to read them. Many people get them as gifts for special occasions; Baptisms, Confirmation, etc..and it would be great to extend that gift for people that don't have the money for a Bible.
