Rev, Im jealous of your attitude. I am a backseat driver. If I dont understand exactly whats going on, then I throw a fit!
AHS, Im jealous of your attitude too The holy spirit probably thinks youre nice and respectful calling it a shepherd. Ive been calling it a bunch of things lately, but nothing very nice. Is that the secret, be respectful? Im seriously asking, because my approach lately is go ahead and be honest how Im feeling. Also, I know I am heard. But in my experience, the HS doesnt bother to elaborate or argue.
The memo, "Chick-fil-A: Who We Are," will be distributed to all corporate employees and restaurant operators, encouraging them to "treat every person with honor, dignity and respectregardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender," Moreno said.
In a letter to the alderman, the company wrote that WinShape is "taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas." Hoped they would have taken a stand and stuck to it.Never was big on their over priced sandwiches anyways. But I think it's ludicrous for a govt agency to pull thier permits to open a new store b/c their CEO has an opinion.
But anyhow, I think he's actually stupid for compromising his values in the pursuit of the almighty buck, which this is clearly a case of.
Hoped they would have taken a stand and stuck to it.
That makes me more upset with them than what I was feeling.
I didn't like the mixing of business and religion for free advertisement. But to step down and turn around seems chicken or maybe fishy.
I heard it is good. Just hard to catch.Well, you know what they say about snake......smells like fish, but tastes like chicken.
PS......Down here in KY I got a little 23 acre paradise. Well, it's a couple knobs with 2 wet weather springs. But anyways, got a rattler there about 3 yrs ago, almost 6 ft long. And the ole man up the road skinned it and cooked it up, and man........delish
Better than anything chickfila ever plated.

6ft snake, I'd have to use a long gun.
They chose now to persecute Dan Cathy because the gay agenda has been successfully pushed far enough along that it's now the cool thing to be pro-gay and evil to be pro-God. Godlessness spreads faster than a wildfire.
This has nothing to do with the First Amendment. It has everything to do with political correctness.
Same with Muslims. Thanks in part to the President's overtures, it's PC to be pro-Muslim.
Yes, it seems no one is "old fashioned" anymore. I certainly fit into that group considering my non-political correct values. I don't think it's about the inclusion of gays in the sanctity of marriage but rather the idea that, given enough time, we can make a case for ANYTHING if we just yell loud enough and get a bunch of people to get in your face and say "you are gonna like it or you are going to be labeled a bigot or a hater."
They knew Dan Cathy was a Christian from the start and he never hid it...Why did they choose now to persecute this guy? All he said is he believes in a one man one woman marriage because the bible confirms it and thats the right way to have a functioning house hold...Why try and bash the guy for exercising his first admendment and not even in a hateful fashion towards the gays...Yet they know the guy who owns most of the oil for the oil companies is a muslim yet they dont try to put him on the spot so he can say we put gay people to death on site....I guess boycotting chicken is alot easier then gas

Small scale sample I know but even from here its does interest me that it seems generally men who get more exercised about the whole homosexuality thing than women. I've never really heard much said about it by female Christians. Is there a reason for that - women in general do seem more relaxed re showing affection to other women (and I mean in a non-sexual context) whereas often even some male Christians attitudes comes perilously close to sounding like homophobia (and I can hear plenty of that from some of the heavy drinking, womanising, married, never darkened a church door guys I work with).
I have never met a Christian who stands for Biblical values and knows what God says about homosexual sex who is afraid of homosexuals. "Homophobia" (a recent invention) is a word homosexuals and their supporters use in an attempt to belittle and make seem ill Christians who take a Biblical stance but is really not a valid word for that stance.
