and she says calvinists promote "lordship" salvation what is that exactly? Q&A: Repentance and Lordship Salvation
Ya, uhhh... She grossly misunderstands Lordship salvation. While it teaches that the test of salvation is obedience, it does not teach that salvation comes from works. Rather it comes by grace through faith, but faith will naturally produce works and obedience to Christ. If your faith doesn't produce works, then your faith is dead. For a tutorial on Lordship salvation, please see the book of James.

Also, Augustine wasn't Roman Catholic. There was no Roman Catholicism in his day, as though there were denominations in the western church. It was just Catholic. One church. Someone who truly understand Calvinism would never say Calvinists are on the road to Rome. This lady is laughable.

well at any rate she seems to be just lumping what ev she doesnt like into a pile and calling it a sign of the end, what really amuses me about dispies is that they prefer to use ther own subkective experiances on violent crime and earthquakes rather than objective fact, which they claim their faith, espeically about the rapture is based on, since hey the rpature cannot be near if there are no major increaeses in crime or earthquakes....

JR, I'm not a dispensationalist AT ALL, and back in the days of the "carnal Christian" and "one program for Jews, another for the church" I was more concerned about Dispensationalists than Romans. I agree with you, though, that many of the errors of those days have been corrected, and certainly appreciate you bringing the fact that this woman doesn't represent the mainstream Dispensationalist attitude about Calvinism or Covenant theology to our attention.

The animosity shown by some others to my post is not what we are called to. Of course, there has been far more intolerance and animosity towards the Calvinist and Covenetal position from Arminians and Dispensationalists. This is not a good thing. Again I have been a member of the PCA for many years. I routinely comment in Sunday School and while the leadership does not agree with all my views, they meet them with respect. I am very thankful that Eddy responded as he did.

oh and this is a funny one https://www.facebook.com/johanna.michaelsen a woman said that "if you are not a post-millenalist or a dominionist, you are not a true calvinist"!

I've actually heard this before from a different source. I'll be honest. I'm still working through this. Not sure, but I think I believe in Amillenialism.

Would love to see their argument though.

Is the book available on Kindle? I read a book many many years ago which attacked Calvinism. After reading what this author thought Calvinism taught, I said, I hate Calvinism too. Fortunately his straw man was far from true Calvinism.
A Case for Amillenialism?

I'm not sure. You may just want to purchase it on Amazon. Wouldn't cost much. It's worth the read.

It took me a long time to shed all my Dispey eschatology but God is good! :p I bought A Case for Amil from the local "Christian" bookstore after finding it in a sales bin. I paid a few dollars for it.

I didn't find it convincing at first.

What helped me was to understand the everlasting covenant and its administration in time. After taking a break from reading about eschatology I realized my position had shifted from Premil to Amil.

Anything by Geerhardus Vos will help tremendously but he can be difficult to understand at times, at least he is for me.

Lord, help us. I love it that she (Monica) is accusing us Calvinists as the ones causing divisions. We use a word to describe our beliefs. We're literally being attacked at all angles. We're not following Calvin as a person. Do we accuse Arminians of following Jacob Arminius? So what? Do we next stop saying we're a part of "this denomination or that" just because we're not to follow people? I think she misses the point Paul was trying to make, that we're to be followers of Christ and we're to submit ourselves to his authority above all.

It's funny that her ministry is called Tic Toc Ministries. What is she trying to be the Ke$ha of theology? It's about the level of theology she would have I'll admit.
