  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have been running a youtube channel for several years. I think I know the video you are talking about. Yeah. That video is one of the worst things I've ever witnessed people do to other people. It's the kind of thing that once you see it. It affects you, You can't ever really forget it. That's part of the reason I am the way I am, I'm basically a hermit. I almost never leave my home and I don't really associate with people really often. There is a lot of evil in the world, A lot of Crazy in it. I know as a Christian we are supposed to be out there shining a light. But the world has truly gone insane :(

There is a season for all things under the sun. There is a season for being a hermit, and a season for being right in the mist of the people. There is a season to love and a season to hate. There is a season for you coming, that how you feel now, will be a part of your past, just like you ex wife. There is a season coming, that His Love will overcome all things in you. Grab hold of His promises and believe, then watch Him finish the work He started in you.

But Part of me does hate. It hates strongly.

Let me explain. I feel, There are certain people in this world who have done things that in my eyes are deserving of the hate they receive. I know this doesn't sound like a Christian ideology. But hear me out. There are people who have committed heinous crimes that are so terrible you can't even speak about them or what they did. There is no explanation needed. I don't want to give details about dark things like that. But. Do these people who have done these horrible things. not deserve the hate I feel for them? I mostly ask this because. If it is wrong for me to hate people who harm children and kill innocent people. Then what is worthy of hate? and If I am broken. how do I fix this and not hate them?

No crime is more heinous or horrible than crime committed against Jesus Christ. Our worst suffering is nothing compared to the suffering of Jesus Christ. Consider His bloody Scourging and His Crucifixion. In the very midst of His Passion he prayed for the criminals: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

What is worthy of hatred? Mortal sins i.e. murder, fornication, drunkenness, etc.

Everything Our Lord did is an example for us to imitate: "Learn of me, for I am meek and humble of heart." He prayed for his enemies. His prayers had their source in Divine Love: "I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you" (Matt. 5:44). Prayer is a good work (good works are truly good because they are done for God and with God) and prayer kindles the fire of love... they more a person prays the more that person grows in love of God. Draw close to God by prayer and God will draw close to you. Why? Because prayer produces love, or charity in the soul.

If you are broken? Jesus Christ bids you, "Come to me..." (Matt. 11:28). The last words of St. Teresa of Avila are as beautiful and true as they are consoling in all suffering: "A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." She died repeating Psalm 51. We ought to do the same if we are to die to the world.
