Hi, People tell me that today the worship day has changed because of the new testament. When people say not to work on Saturday they talking about the Jewish old law and not the Christian new Laws. I have talked to many Christians and they all said they work on Sunday and Saturday and think nothing is wrong about it. Myself I don't work on Sunday.

What do you have to say about this?
The New Testament way to worship is not on a particular day but everyday in spirit. John 4:23,24.

To worship God is to kiss Him.
I would prefer that my wife kiss me everyday, not just on legal holydays.

I'm still trying to figure out what "Christian new Laws" he's talking about and why he's referring to the Torah, which contains ordinances forever and charges Gentiles who join themselves to God to keep the Sabbath (by not profaning it) and the rest of the commands as the "Jewish old law." :)

Peace!

/me venerates* his Icon of Christ

What legal holydays   are you speaking of ?? I wasn't aware of many in this country (USA) ...

* - understand that veneration passes to the prototype of that which is depicted

However, the New Testament makes it clear that the observance of a particular day was not imposed as a binding obligation. Romans 14:5-6 makes it clear that there was some freedom in the matter of special days. Colossians 2:16-17 commanded the church not to allow anyone to act as their judge in regard to sabbath days. And Galatians 4:9-10 warns against going back under the Law by insisting on the legal requirement of special days.
This article knows nothing about what those verses mean within a Jewish context. Romans and Colossians had to do with holiday calculation, definitions of work, and mew moon sightings to determine the start of new months where Galatians dealt with Rabbinicism, not the Torah! :)

Peace!

Who are these some ?

The Church as witnessed by Scripture and the Holy Fathers celebrates the Resurrection on Sunday. The Sabbath remains the 7th day.
You say the Sabbath remains the 7th day, then why keep Sunday?

I agree the Sabbath is the 7th day.

Christmas is traditionally considered a holyday by many, because it's the day believed to be Christ's birthday.

The day of worship is listed below:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
You and anyone can worship God on any day you like.

God only ever made one day of the week holy. That was the 7th day which is the Sabbath, Saturday.

It was the 7th day that He has told everyone to "Remember...."

I second this one! You would expect more honesty, wouldn't you. Roman Catholics take responsibility and the Encyclopedeas also tell us of the infamous edict of Emperor Constantine substituting the genuine with a counterfeit!

I don't honestly think God cares what day we meet to worship as long as we do so on at least one day of the week. For most, it is Sunday. For people like my bf, it is Saturday. But honestly, I think that God is happy as long as we meet to worship on at least one day of the week. But then again, I personally feel that one can lead a good and fulfilling spiritual life without ever going to a church although church is beneficial.

Do you think that God is concerned about the other 9 commandments as well?

There is only 1 commandment that He told us to Remember. You think that one is the one that God does not really care about after saying to Remember it.

Exodus 20:1-17

1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

If God is not concerned about the day we worship on then is He also not concerned about the others?
