• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't remember ever asking Him that but when i feared and obsessed that I was not saved, I kept crying out for Him to show me that I belonged to Him, and I would do this over and over, until one day, I believe the Lord answered me and I heard {not an audible voice, but i heard} "Why, you won't believe Me" after I was crying for Him to show me I belonged to Him.

I am sure I have. In truth He tells us through His Word. It is just that people tend to just read only one verse and make that a determination, God speaks greatly about who will and will not inherit the Kingdom of God. And rejection of Christ, willing rejection is unforgivable because they are rejecting their only way of salvation.

Your feelings and mind are the enemies battleground. and if you have Ocd or some form of it, it will automatically be twisted by it.

Do not trust your feelings, you trust the Word of God. Otherwise you will most likly be decieved.

Yes I am having issues a little, because my mom told me she can talk to God and he told her through her feelings that I haven't done it. But I don't if she saying the truth or she is just saying it just make me feel better.

I think your Mom probably is hearing from the Lord here because I don't believe that you can commit this sin on a whim or by accident.

I will say this, too, as I've said before, though...if you are struggling with OCD, no assurance is usually EVER enough long term. An angel from heaven could likely tell us we are saved and we'd find some way to start doubting it after awhile. This is the nature of OCD. That's why it's the OCD that's the issue, not a true spiritual problem.

Picasoui, I have studied Scripture for years now, and also taken Bible school courses.

I can tell you for a certainty that committing the unpardonable sin CANNOT be done on a whim or accidentally.

Also--if you are worried that you have committed the unpardonable sin, then that is a sure sign that you have not.

So put your worries aside. Tell those thoughts to go away. That's the illness, not the truth.

God's word says whom the Son sets free is free indeed, John 8:36. You have been set free. You have not committed the unpardonable sin. Far from it--you are redeemed, you are set free.

So tell those thoughts to go away and then worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords Jesus Christ, because whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

ocd aside, read the scriptures on what it says :)

If you take things in context you will understand what the unpardonable sin is.

It is clear what this unpardonable sin is. If it is just speaking or thinking something bad about the Holy Spirit than you run into contradictions. If you run into a contradiction than you know you have the context of that verse wrong.. which is why I tell people you need to look at the bible in whole.

It is clearly rejecting your salvation.

I have also asked specific people on this forum, instead of obsessing over it, to take this to God and ask Him to reveal to them what this "unpardonable sin" is. Honestly whether they did or not is still unclear.

I believe in my heart that you haven't done this. This is ocd. that is what this does to you. just ignore the thoughts and they will eventually go away, i know it's hard but you just have to let them roll off your back. Lean not on your own understanding. Lean on Jesus. The battle is not yours it's gods He loves you
