I would try eharmony.com-- It is designed by a Christian Psychologist, Dr. Neil Clark Warren. And it is more comprehensive than other dating sites. You can sign up for a Free Personality Profile, and I think there is a fee to join--not sure, though.

E-harmony is not a entirely "christian " site. They do let other religions in like Mormons and others like those in the muslin faith.

But why? I would not look down at a woman that lived with her parents. I do have a job and my own car, but I do not see the need to move into an apartment when I could live at home and build up money for when I want to move out. Maybe even a house....

Oh well, I guess I'm in the minority opinion!

As someone who has moved out - I agree, tis impractical to move out and throw money away on rent when you could just live with the folks. However, guys and girls are attracted to different things.

Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet? That's just the way it is. Women don't HAVE to be independent. That's just the type of unwritten rules that society has established. Men are supposed to be the providers and caretakers, and being out on our own is a sign that we are financially stable and independent. I'm not saying there aren't exceptions, but that's just how the majority is.

I would have to agree. Years ago on TLC I taped a Desmond Morris (the famous zoologist) special called The Human Sexes and as I recall Dr. Morris pointed out two things:

1. Women seek out rich and powerful men. This is because back in the cave man era men took care of their wives, and women were dependent upon men for survival. The most dominant cave men didn't live with Mum and Dad, and rich and powerful men today don't ordinarily live with Mum and Dad.

2. Men seek out younger females as younger females tend to produce stronger and healthier offspring.

Of course these are just genralizations, but I thought that the special was intriguing.

I tend to agree with that Diane. I am studying Wild at Heart and gaining quite alot of revelation from it regarding the male and female roles in society and how they have changed from what God intended. I now see that men are supposed to be MEN! Financially secure, Godly-The priest of the household, Providers, Leaders. Anyways I found another site:

Is a cult a religion?

The mormons and the musulim faith want you to think that they are a religion, but one is a cult and another one is a dangerous movement. Secondly, you don't know who you are getting on these sites, including e-harmony, this is why you need to use wisdom and disernment because sites like this, harmless as they seem and the attractive advertising, can have a dark side to it also.

Well, I recieved the same message from eharmony. It's just wanting money... Well, you can read my story of online dating at http://www.christianforums.com/t1188496-sooim-gonna-meet-her.html. I'm actually going to meet a girl that I met online who is seriously genuine. I'm going to be a youth pastor, and I think this girl talks about God more than I do. It's an interesting story. You should give it a read. Who knows....might change your views on online dating. I know my story changed mine. ;-)

Yes, I am a member of match.com and eharmony.

I have received two hits from women that just want to have fun or sex only. No marriage and no kids.

On eharmony, I think you have to pay in order to make your connection because I got the same message that everyone else has.

This is one of the reasons why I stopped looking online because there are too many people who take advantage of people. I don't care if it e-harmony or match.com, there are people who take advantage of people and I for one will not let that happen again.

Isn't Big Church associated with Freind Finder, a site which caters to pornograpy?..
