The night my husband left the house drinking and driving. I posted a request on the prayer wall. I was so upset and needed comfort and I found in it you guys that night, after hours and crying I had a peace come over me that I can't explain and to all of you that prayed I thank you from the bottom of my heart, because that night I felt the physical blanket of peace and your prayers. I take the prayer request wall very seriously because we never know what someone is going through. God bless everyone here and thank you.

How could we seek prayer from so many in a time of need.
Even people just reading and not posting could be praying for us.
There are many bad things on the internet but these forums are a blessing of friendship prayer and educational threads.

Yes to almost all of these things. I have been greatly encouraged when I see the caring that is displayed (and that frequently comes from you, Solomons Porch) to those who have reached out here for help. It gladdens my heart to see sympathy given when people have shared common experiences and shared burdens. I have found edification and been educated and informed on many issues, and explored some of the different ways that Christians see things, and even when I disagree, it helps me to understand those people and perspectives.

Yes, sometimes I have seen some nasty responses to requests for help, but far more have I seen posts that seek to help and heal, and demonstrate what Jesus said - "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

I am new to these forums, but overall, I like what I see.

The prayer wall is a great blessing. I take it seriously, as well, and see love in action there. Sometimes it is hard to help in a physical way from an online forum, but we can always pray.

I have reason to thank pretty much everyone here for at least one occasion or another, if not several.

But in particular ....

@SweetCarolina always brightened my day the first few months I was a part of this community. She just made me smile with her manner of speaking and constantly upbeat attitude, and this allowed me the pleasure of feeling almost like I was in love for a very pleasant few months. Thank you, Jennie Amber (as I am still wont to address you).

Miss @Travelers.Soul had always taken the time to lend me her most patient ears back when I was having a difficult time trying to relinquish my romantic desire for a certain someone I had a crush on who used to also be in this community. On one occasion I dared to even weep in my frustration that i still liked her so much when she chose someone else, and yet I had to admit as much to someone here, anyone who would listen, and Traveler was there for me the entire time, to listen and try to comfort me. And while this may seem a very personal thing to admit to, I wish to let everyone here know that I honor Traveler for all of this. She is a lady of greatness in this knight's book.

I also thank @Hawthorne for his seeming down-to-earth wisdom and godliness, and friendship, as in particular he once encouraged me to continue seeking Scriptural truth for myself rather than just blindly accepting popular doctrine when i once expressed my curiosity in investigating a particular subject of controversy among believers.

And there is also @leothelioness, she who despite her seeming fiery persona once took the time to listen to and admonish me gently when i had been feeling a great temptation to, shall we say, take extreme measures in response to a particular dilemma of mine in my personal life, rather than being judgmental or condemning to any degree when unfortunately most Christians probably would have in her place.
