Most of my icons are from the skete. These monks are under the jurisdiction of the Serbians or Ukrainians - cannot remember which. They used to be under ROCOR but changed within the last few years.

I prefer to support the monks who are struggling to repair existing structures of their monastery and to continue their building projects.

Howdy. Was in Mexico for a week.

Back on topic a bit, I've been looking on ebay for icons. Found this nice wood 8x6 of Chrysostom for $17. Might get it.

I'm lucky that the Deacon at our parish makes mounted icon prints and they are often available much cheaper (and we save on shipping.) Not only that, we can request custom icons/sizes, etc. Our bookstore orders a lot of icons too, but Father Deacon makes a bunch too.

My wife's patron saint is St. Seraphim. We have so many icons of him. Many have been brought back from Russia, so we have some you can't get in the USA. Every time somebody goes to Russia, that's what they bring back.

Awesome, thanks. I wonder what it looks like. My friend Sarah would probably love it--she loves animals even more than I do.

I have been meaning to get an icon of St. Seraphim, but I'm holding out for this one, whenever and wherever I can get it.

I have a small icon of St. Seraphim feeding the bear. It is delightful. I bought it at Archangel Books in San Francisco. By the way, this is the same bookstore (under a different name) where Bl. Seraphim Rose worked before he went to Platina. We go there a few times a year as a sort of local pilgrimage.
