Oumuamua No.2? It seems likely, but this time much larger and not the intriguing elongate geometry. It's still on its way sunward, so plenty of time for observations.

More here on the BBC site and The Minor Planet centre.

Rendezvous With Rama.
If it is, it is doing fair comet impressions: six miles in diameter with, apparently, both coma and tail evident. The next few days should see a confirmation (or correction).

Thus far I haven't figured out, or seen stated, which direction (roughly) it's coming from.

'The newly discovered object - initially given the designation gb00234, but now known as Comet C/2019 Q4 (Borisov) - has an eccentricity of 3.2'

Wow. Oumuamua only had an eccentricity of 1.2. I thought maybe schmaybe there was some way it could be from the solar system but some weird interaction got it going that fast. But that doesn't seem likely in this case.

According to the ephemeris - MPEC 2019-R106 : COMET C/2019 Q4 (Borisov) , the comet is now in the northern part of Cancer and is moving to the south-east, towards Leo. The comet is on the far side of the Sun and is more than 3 AU from the Earth, so there is no danger of a collision.

According to https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/spotlight/interstellar-comet-
starts-coming-into-focus
, the comet passed within 5.4 light-years of the nearby red-dwarf binary system Krüger 60 (LHS 3814+LHS 3815 = DO Cephei) about a million years ago; it is therefore possible that the Krüger 60 system was the original source of the comet. Krüger 60 is about one degree south of delta Cephei.
