I'd definitely recommend that you check it out in one of the later versions (N64, PSOne, GBA, or the Gamecube one that's coming out soon).

LOL, the only warning I will give (aside from that Kai thing in the PSOne version, and if you're not like me you probably won't even notice it at all-you have to look very closely to see those hints-you have to have the farmer guy attend the festival with him and/or give him flowers to get that hint in the dialogue) is that you had better have a LOT of spare time. LOL, this game is a major time-waster, especially with the PSOne version where you can't save until the in game "day" is finished.

Just like real life! In real life, any proposal you make to a girl whose heart is not red will be unlikely to get a positive response. Not sure a proposal will be welcome? Cut her open and look!

I was going to invite Ann to the full moon festival, but I forgot i had to do it the day before. Now the day's here, and it says it starts at 6pm and goes to 12am. I can't find it anywhere.
Is it not going to happen now that I didn't invite her, or what?

Also, I'm playing HM:FOMT for the GBA..

Hey, does ANYONE know the use for the Orange Cup fruit in HM: BTN (Playstation)? I'm growing a bunch of these in my hothouse (the only place they can grow), but only a few people in the village like them as gifts (the Inn owner Doug, Basil, Ellen), any recipe I try with them becomes a Food Fiasco, and there's no record of sales for them on the main menu-and pineapples seem to be more financially profitable.

So, what use is there for the Orange Cup, if any?

I love Harvest moon BTN, almost every time I play I aim to go for another girl but inevitably end up getting Popuri in the end besides Kai is rarely around so you dont have any guilt trips.
